Target Audience
Define who your content is for so the AI creates posts that resonate with the right people.
Why audience matters
The AI tailors content differently depending on who it is for. Content aimed at C-suite executives reads differently from content targeting college students. By defining your target audience clearly, you help the AI choose the right language, references, examples, and level of detail for every post.
What to include
In your brand settings, describe your target audience with as much detail as possible:
- Demographics: Age range, profession, industry, location.
- Interests: What they care about, what they read, what communities they are part of.
- Pain points: Problems they face that your brand helps solve.
- Goals: What they are trying to achieve professionally or personally.
Example audience descriptions
A good audience description is specific and actionable. For example: “Small business owners aged 28-45 who want to grow their social media presence but don't have time to create content daily. They value practical, no-fluff advice and are willing to invest in tools that save time.”
Compare this to a vague description like “people interested in social media.” The more specific your audience description, the more targeted and effective the AI output.
Updating your audience
As your brand grows and evolves, your target audience may change. You can update the audience description at any time from Settings → Brand. Changes take effect on the next content generation.
