Connecting Platforms
Link your social media accounts to SocialWhisper with a secure OAuth flow.
How OAuth works
OAuth is an industry-standard authorization protocol. When you connect a platform, you are redirected to that platform's own login page where you grant SocialWhisper permission to post on your behalf. SocialWhisper receives an access token but never sees your password. This is the same method used by all major social media management tools.
Step-by-step connection
Go to Settings → Social Accounts
Open your project and navigate to the Social Accounts tab in Settings.
Click Link Account
Choose the platform you want to connect from the list of supported platforms.
Authorize on the platform
You will be redirected to the platform's authorization page. Log in and grant permission.
Connection confirmed
You will be redirected back to SocialWhisper with the account connected and ready to use.
Troubleshooting connections
If the connection fails, make sure you are logged into the correct account on the platform. Some platforms like Instagram require a Business or Creator account. Facebook only allows publishing to Pages, not personal profiles. If you continue to have issues, try clearing your browser cookies for the platform and attempting the connection again.
